Bukurosh Sejdini

He was born in 1916 in Elbasan. He studied drawing in Tirana and then went to Romania for studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, but there due to the political conditions he was forced to interrupt his studies and continued them at the Academy of Art in Italy. He received his degree in 1942. After the war he started to working in some schools as a teacher of drawing. He emerged as passionate teacher, during his 20 consecutive years until his retirement.

He contributed successfully in all three genres of painting. His work “Agimi i 17 nëntorit 1944”, is one of the most dignified Albanian painting. It was created in 1957 and in 1958, represented the Albanian art in Moscow, Russia. This picture postcard was produced and entered in the French Encyclopedia, as a representative of the Albanian painting 50’s.

He passed away in 1991.
